Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread
  • 1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, chopped
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 small jar pimientos, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place 6 slices of bread in a buttered pan.
  2. Spread the shredded Cheddar cheese over the bread.
  3. Add a layer of chopped cooked chicken on top.
  4. Place the remaining 6 bread slices on top, buttered side down.
  5. Beat together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the assembled bread layers.
  7. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
  8. Bake or cook as desired the next day.
