Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 to 1 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in an iron skillet.
  2. Add cocoa and salt, stirring well.
  3. Add sugar and milk, stirring constantly.
  4. Let mixture come to a rolling boil after each addition of milk.
  5. Stir until soft ball stage is reached.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Add vanilla extract and beat until creamy.
  8. Stir in nuts.
  9. Pour into a buttered pan and let cool.
