Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 1/3 cup whipping cream
  • 2 cups flour
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the softened butter, whipping cream, and flour together to form a dough.
  2. Chill the dough for 1 hour.
  3. Roll out the chilled dough onto a sugared board to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  4. Turn the dough over in sugar to coat both sides.
  5. Cut the dough into 1 1/2-inch circles.
  6. Prick the tops of the circles with a fork.
  7. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 375°F for 7 to 9 minutes, until puffy and light gold in color.
  8. Allow the wafers to cool before serving.
