- Place paper liners in 24 muffin tins.
- Put 1 vanilla wafer in the bottom of each muffin cup.
- Combine cream cheese, sugar, eggs, lemon juice, and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
- Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Pour enough filling into each muffin liner to fill about 2/3 full.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cool thoroughly or refrigerate overnight.
- Just before serving, spoon cherry pie filling on top of each cheesecake.
