A refreshing, tangy lemonade with a hint of sweetness, perfect for parties and hot days, easily customizable with optional pink coloring for a fun twist.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • Juice of 2 to 3 lemons
  • 1/2 lemon, very thinly sliced
  • 1 quart cold water
  • 12 ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a pitcher, stir together the sugar and hot water until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the lemon juice, cold water, and thinly sliced lemon to the pitcher.
  3. Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon to combine all ingredients.
  4. Pour into tall glasses filled with ice cubes.
  5. Optional: Add a drop of red food coloring to make pink lemonade.
