A colorful pasta dish combining savory sausages, fresh vegetables, melted cheese, and a hint of sweetness from apple, perfect for hearty family meals or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 sweet or hot sausages
  • 1 large Bermuda onion
  • snow peas
  • 8 oz. mushrooms
  • 8 oz. bag Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Granny Smith apple
  • 1 pkg. bow tie pasta

Instructions

  1. Remove sausages from casing and brown in a skillet.
  2. Add chopped Bermuda onion, sliced mushrooms, and snow peas to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender and drain well.
  3. Add chopped apple at the very end to prevent overcooking.
  4. Meanwhile, boil the bow tie pasta until al dente.
  5. Drain the cooked pasta.
  6. Add the meat and vegetable mixture to the drained pasta.
  7. Toss the shredded Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese throughout the pasta mixture.
  8. Cover and let stand for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
