A vibrant and easy-to-make patriotic dessert combining creamy vanilla ice cream with blueberry muffin crumble and fresh strawberries, perfect for summer celebrations and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 package blueberry muffin mix
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • strawberries

Instructions

  1. Set out the vanilla ice cream to soften.
  2. Cut the butter into the blueberry muffin mix until crumbly.
  3. Place the mixture in a casserole dish and bake at 300°F for 5 to 10 minutes until it begins to brown.
  4. Remove from oven and let cool.
  5. Reserve 1/2 cup of the crumb mixture for topping.
  6. Press the remaining mixture into a 9-inch pie plate to form the crust.
  7. Spread the softened ice cream over the crust and top with the crumb mixture.
  8. Freeze the pie until firm.
  9. Top with blueberries from the muffin mix and sliced strawberries.
  10. Let the pie sit for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
