Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can sliced pineapple
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Drain the sliced pineapple and reserve the juice for another purpose.
  2. Place the pineapple slices in the bottom of a 10-inch ceramic baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the pineapple slices.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour, sugar, and softened butter to make the batter.
  5. Pour the batter over the pineapple slices and brown sugar in the baking dish.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
