Ingredients

  • 5 egg whites (room temperature)
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • strawberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar, continue beating until sugar is fully incorporated and mixture is glossy.
  4. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  5. Pour the meringue mixture onto the center of the foil and shape into an 8-inch circle, indenting the center slightly.
  6. Lower oven temperature to 250°F (120°C).
  7. Bake the meringue for 1 hour, then remove from oven and cool completely.
  8. Fill the indented center with sliced fresh fruits such as strawberries, kiwi, bananas, or seasonal fruits.
