- Sift first 4 ingredients.
- Add shortening, egg, milk and vanilla.
- Beat for 3 minutes.
- Pour into lightly greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Serve warm with spicy peach sauce.
