Broccoli Florentine

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. broccoli
  • 2 garlic cloves, sliced thin
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Remove and discard outer leaves and cut off tough ends of stalks from broccoli.
  2. Split heavy stalks over 1/2 inch thick lengthwise.
  3. Boil 2 inches of water in a saucepan and add broccoli.
  4. Cover the pan to allow water to steam the broccoli.
  5. Cook for 10 to 20 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
  6. Do not overcook.
