Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg white until frothy.
  2. Gradually add brown sugar and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. Stir in flour and salt.
  4. Fold in pecan halves until evenly coated.
  5. If pecans are large, let each half be a separate confection.
  6. Drop spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 275°F (135°C) for 35 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.
