Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 to 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. apples, sliced thin
  • 1 c. salad oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 6 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the cake pan.
  2. Mix eggs, salad oil, vanilla, brown sugar, and white sugar until well combined.
  3. Add flour, cinnamon, soda, and salt; mix thoroughly.
  4. Fold in sliced apples and chopped nuts.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake until golden brown.
  6. Meanwhile, combine cream cheese, melted butter, vanilla, and sugar to make the frosting.
  7. Spread the frosting over the cooled cake before serving.
