Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/8 lb. citron (optional)
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites and yolks separately, then together.
  2. Combine ingredients as in other cakes.
  3. Drop by teaspoons on greased tins. Bakes about 9 minutes.
