Ingredients

  • 1 pheasant, cut into pieces
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Flour the bird lightly.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Slice 1/2 stick of butter and cover the bottom of a baking dish with a thin layer of onions.
  4. Arrange the pheasant on top of the onions, then cover it with a thin layer of onions and the remaining butter.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of water.
  6. Bake at 250° for 4 hours.
