Pickadillo
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 3 tomatoes, diced (can use drained canned tomatoes) ⓘ
- 1 onion, finely chopped ⓘ
- 1 medium potato, diced ⓘ
- 3/4 c. raisins ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder ⓘ
- 3/4 c. slivered almonds ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. pepper ⓘ
- 1 tsp. oregano ⓘ
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped ⓘ
- 3 chili peppers, chopped ⓘ
Instructions
- Brown meat; drain.
- Cover barely with water; simmer 30 minutes.
- Add remainder of ingredients and cook down.
- Serve warm with large Fritos or tortilla chips for dipping.
