Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 tomatoes, diced (can use drained canned tomatoes)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium potato, diced
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 3/4 c. slivered almonds
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 chili peppers, chopped

Instructions

  1. Brown meat; drain.
  2. Cover barely with water; simmer 30 minutes.
  3. Add remainder of ingredients and cook down.
  4. Serve warm with large Fritos or tortilla chips for dipping.
