  • 2 tsp. yellow mustard seed
  • several sprigs of fresh dill
  • 1 medium to large onion
  • 1 fresh or 2 dried hot red peppers
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp. canning, noniodized (e.g. kosher) salt

Instructions

  1. Use quart canning jars or a crock for pickling.
  2. Ensure not to use metal or plastic containers.
  3. If needed, cover with a two-layer cap (inner cheesecloth and outer plastic wrap).
