Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • onion
  • pickles (cucumber)

Instructions

  1. Heat the sugar, vinegar, and salt until dissolved, then let the mixture cool.
  2. Slice onions and pickles (cucumbers) paper thin.
  3. Pack the sliced onions and pickles into a jar.
  4. Pour the cooled sugar mixture over the pickles and onions.
  5. Put the jar in the refrigerator and let it sit for a few days before using.
