Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Grate the cabbage and carrot.
  2. Add salt, sugar, and celery seed; set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan, add vinegar, oil, and mustard. Bring to a boil.
  4. Pour the hot dressing over the cabbage mixture and stir well.
  5. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
