Pine Nut and Date Crositini

Ingredients

  • 24 dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts, toasted
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 baguette, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Chop the dates and pine nuts, add them to a small bowl and mix to combine.
  3. Put the date and nut mixture into a small pan over medium heat, then stir in the red wine and the honey.
  4. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Put the bread slices on a sheet pan and a drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Put in the oven and toast.
  7. Top each toast with 1 tablespoon of the date mixture.
  8. Arrange the crostini on a serving platter and serve.
