Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup cherry preserves
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter.
  2. Stir in brown sugar, cherry preserves, almond extract, and cinnamon until well blended.
  3. Remove from heat and add drained pineapple.
  4. Spoon half of the mixture into a greased Bundt pan.
  5. Arrange half of the biscuits, standing on edge in the pan.
  6. Cover with the remaining fruit mixture, then add the remaining biscuits.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
  9. Invert onto a wire rack or serving platter to cool completely.
