Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups crushed pineapple (large can, undrained)
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients together, then stir in wet ingredients. Do not use a mixer.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Leave the cake in the pan and pour hot icing over the cake while it is still hot.
