Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 box jello instant pudding
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans
  • 1 can pineapple
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yellow cake mix according to the package directions and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Allow the cake to cool for 15 minutes.
  3. Poke holes in the cake at 1/2-inch intervals.
  4. While the cake is baking and cooling, cook the pineapple and sugar in a saucepan until heated through.
  5. Spread the cooked pineapple mixture evenly over the cooled cake.
  6. Prepare the instant pudding as directed on the package and spread it over the pineapple layer.
