Ingredients

  • 1 lb oleo
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c sugar
  • 5 1/2 c flour
  • 1 tsp almond extract

Instructions

  1. Mix the oleo, eggs, vanilla, sugar, and almond extract thoroughly.
  2. Add the flour gradually and mix until smooth.
  3. Preheat the pizzelle iron.
  4. Using a teaspoon, scoop the batter onto each section of the iron, approximately 1 teaspoon per iron.
  5. Close the iron and cook until the pizzelle are golden and crisp, about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove the cookies and dust with powdered sugar while warm.
