Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella or baby Swiss cheese
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. poppy seed
  • 1 Tbsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. dry onion

Instructions

  1. Slice the bread at an angle from left to right, then right to left without cutting all the way through.
  2. Stuff the cuts with mozzarella or baby Swiss cheese.
  3. Mix together the butter, dry mustard, poppy seed, seasoned salt, lemon juice, and dry onion in a saucepan and simmer.
  4. Cover the bottom and sides of the bread with foil.
  5. Pour the warm mixture over the bread.
  6. Cover and bake in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
