Plantation Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 (21 oz.) can cherry or other pie filling
  • 1 (18 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans crushed pineapple
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut flakes
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 lb. butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°.
  2. Spoon filling evenly into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle yellow cake mix over filling.
  4. Evenly distribute crushed pineapple over cake mix.
  5. Slice butter into 1/2-inch pats and layer evenly over pineapple.
  6. Sprinkle coconut and pecans over top.
  7. Bake for 1 hour and check for doneness.
