Pluket Cake features tender layers of sweet, cinnamon-scented bread with crunchy walnut toppings, perfect for a comforting dessert or special treat for family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 2 loaves frozen bread
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter

Instructions

  1. Let the bread thaw completely.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Melt butter or margarine.
  4. Grease an angel food cake pan.
  5. Pinch off small pieces of dough the size of walnuts.
  6. Roll each piece in melted butter, then in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Layer the dough balls in the prepared pan, sprinkling chopped walnuts over each layer.
  8. Pour the remaining melted butter and sugar mixture over the layered dough.
  9. Let the cake rise until doubled in size.
  10. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45 minutes.
  11. Turn the cake onto a plate and let it cool with the pan over it.
