Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb lean hamburger meat
  • 1/2 lb lean sausage meat
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 4 large carrots
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 can tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix the lean hamburger meat and lean sausage meat thoroughly.
  2. Add salt, pepper, and garlic salt to the meat mixture.
  3. Form the mixture into four 6-ounce hamburger steaks.
  4. Line a long pan with aluminum foil.
  5. Place the hamburger steaks in the pan, spacing them out.
  6. Cut the potatoes, carrots, and onion into pieces.
  7. Arrange the vegetables around the meat in the pan.
  8. Pour a glass of water into the pan.
  9. Add tomato sauce to the pan.
  10. Cover the pan completely with aluminum foil.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 1.5 to 2 hours.
