- Beat egg whites until foamy.
- Gradually add sugar, beating until shiny and peaks form.
- Gradually or all at once, add egg yolks to the beaten egg whites, mixing constantly.
- Add flour slowly to the mixture.
- Add baking powder and fold in gently.
- Pour batter into a greased spring-form pan and bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes.
- Check the cake after 30 minutes and adjust baking time if needed.
- Allow the cake to cool completely, then cut into 3 or 4 layers.
- Set aside the layers, then add vodka to taste before serving.
