Ingredients

  • 10 to 12 eggs
  • 12 Tbsp. sugar
  • 12 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • vodka to taste

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites until foamy.
  2. Gradually add sugar, beating until shiny and peaks form.
  3. Gradually or all at once, add egg yolks to the beaten egg whites, mixing constantly.
  4. Add flour slowly to the mixture.
  5. Add baking powder and fold in gently.
  6. Pour batter into a greased spring-form pan and bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes.
  7. Check the cake after 30 minutes and adjust baking time if needed.
  8. Allow the cake to cool completely, then cut into 3 or 4 layers.
  9. Set aside the layers, then add vodka to taste before serving.
