Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. almonds (whole)
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • 1 c. glazed fruit
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. anise seed
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites stiff.
  2. Add sugar.
  3. Beat egg yolks.
  4. Add to egg whites, then add all dry ingredients, adding flour last.
  5. Bake 1 hour in 350° oven.
  6. Bake in cast-iron pan, greased and floured.
