Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops (1 inch thick)
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms, drained
  • 1 cup water, hot
  • 1 package onion soup mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the pork chops on both sides.
  3. Drain the browned chops on absorbent paper.
  4. In a buttered, oblong baking dish, arrange the pork chops, sliced potatoes, and drained mushrooms on top.
  5. In a small bowl, combine hot water and onion soup mix.
  6. Pour the soup mixture over the ingredients in the baking dish.
  7. Bake uncovered for about 60 minutes until cooked through and tender.
