Pork 'N' Beef Bake

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. pork steak
  • 2 lb. beef round steak
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. ground pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, cut in rings
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 4 to 5 medium potatoes, halved

Instructions

  1. Make 2 servings of each pork steak by cutting along one side of the bone.
  2. Trim away excess fat.
  3. Trim the round steak of skin and fibrous material.
  4. Cut into serving-size portions and tenderize with meat mallet on both sides.
  5. In plastic bag, combine flour, salt and pepper.
  6. Shake pieces of meat to coat and brown in hot oil.
