Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 pork steaks
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 (16 oz) can pork and beans
  • 1 (16 oz) can lima or butter beans
  • 1 (16 oz.) can lima or butter beans, drained

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the pork steaks on both sides.
  2. Remove the steaks from the skillet and add 1/2 teaspoon salt, ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar to the pan drippings.
  3. Stir the mixture together.
  4. Add the pork and beans, lima beans, and kidney beans to the skillet.
  5. Transfer the bean mixture into a baking dish and lay the pork steaks on top.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 1 teaspoon salt on top of the steaks.
  7. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 1 hour.
  8. Remove the cover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
