Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 lb. potatoes
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. celery
  • 5 c. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 8 oz. cooked ham
  • 1 c. corn
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the potatoes into 1/2-inch chunks.
  2. Cook the ham if not already cooked; cut into small chunks.
  3. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add chopped onion and celery; sauté until tender.
  5. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  7. Add potatoes, ham, corn, salt, and pepper to the pot.
  8. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 20-30 minutes.
  9. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.
