Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, grated
  • 2 large potatoes, grated
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb hamburger
  • 1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Mix grated onion and grated potatoes in a bowl.
  2. Add salt and hamburger to the mixture and mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties.
  4. Brown the patties on one side in a heavy skillet.
  5. Turn the patties and pour canned tomatoes over them.
  6. Cover the skillet and cook on low heat for 35 to 40 minutes or until done.
