Ingredients

  • 2 lb. potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup chopped mint
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 1/2 cups unflavored bread crumbs
  • paprika
  • 1/2 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Put boiled and mashed potatoes, salt, pepper, and allspice in a large bowl and mix.
  2. Knead in bread crumbs until well combined.
  3. Add chopped mint, parsley, and grated onion; knead well.
  4. Place the mixture in an oiled baking dish and press down firmly.
  5. Cut into squares or diamonds.
  6. Sprinkle the top with bread crumbs, paprika, and drizzle with 1/2 cup oil.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
