Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 package yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 4 to 5 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Scald 1 cup of milk.
  2. Add the butter, sugar, and salt to the milk and cool to lukewarm.
  3. Add 1 package of yeast.
  4. Blend in eggs, mashed potatoes, and flour.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Place in a greased bowl. The mixture will be slightly sticky.
  7. Refrigerate until 2 hours before use.
  8. Roll out to 1/2-inch thick on a floured surface.
  9. Cut into desired shapes and place on greased cookie sheet.
  10. Let rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  11. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
