Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine, sugar, and egg together.
  2. Mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg) in a separate bowl.
  3. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk, mixing until just combined.
  4. Fill well-greased muffin pans full with the batter.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
