Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Heat margarine, salt, and water to boiling.
  2. Add flour to the boiling mixture.
  3. Stir over medium heat until the mixture forms a soft ball and leaves the sides of the pan.
  4. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  5. Place the cooled dough in a mixing bowl.
  6. Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
  7. Drop teaspoonfuls of the dough onto a greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
  9. Fill the puffs with your favorite chicken salad, ham salad, or cream filling.
