- In large mixing bowl combine cream cheese, pumpkin, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
- Beat on medium speed of electric mixer until smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Gently stir in whipped topping.
- Spread filling into crust.
- Top with pecans, if desired.
- Chill at least 3 hours or overnight.
