Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 cup ground pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Dissolve soda in sour cream and add to the creamed mixture.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients and beat until well blended.
  4. Pour batter into an 8 or 9-inch tube pan.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 50 to 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
