Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. Olive Oil
  • 1/2 lb. Bacon, cut into 2 inch strips
  • 4 med. Onions, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Seasoned or Black Pepper
  • 6 med. Cloves Garlic, minced or pressed
  • 3 Hot Chili Peppers, chopped
  • 1 can (28 oz.) Whole Tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Basil
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add bacon, garlic, onions, and chilis, saute only until bacon begins to brown, 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes, breaking them up with your hands.
  4. Stir in spices.
  5. Boil until thick, 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in parmesan cheese just before serving.
  6. Serve over spaghetti, linguine, fettuccini, fusilli, or pasta shells.
  7. Serves 6.
