Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour milk or buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 mashed bananas
  • 2 1/2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix the sugar, melted butter or oil, eggs, and sour milk or buttermilk together.
  2. Add baking soda, baking powder, and mashed bananas; mix until well combined.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing just until incorporated.
  4. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan and slicing.
