Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 package quick-rise yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water (120°F)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons corn meal

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, salt, sugar, and quick-rise yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Make a well in the center of the mixture.
  3. Combine warm water and olive oil; add to the flour mixture.
  4. Stir until the mixture forms a ball.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
  6. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
  7. Place the dough in a large bowl coated with cooking spray, turning to coat the top.
  8. Cover and let rise in a warm place (85°F) until doubled in size.
