Ingredients

  • 2 cans (16 oz.) beets
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon mixed pickling spices
  • 3 teaspoons Sweet and Low
  • dash of salt

Instructions

  1. Drain the beets and save 1 cup of the liquid.
  2. Add the vinegar, mixed pickling spices, Sweet and Low, and a dash of salt to the reserved beet liquid.
  3. Heat the mixture to boiling.
  4. Pour the hot liquid over the beets.
  5. Allow the beets to cool, then store in the refrigerator.
