Ingredients

  • 7 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1/2 small jar chicken bouillon
  • 1 large can condensed chicken noodle soup
  • 5 cans buttermilk biscuits
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the chicken breasts until cooked through.
  2. Remove the chicken from the water and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In the water used to boil the chicken, add margarine, chicken bouillon, and condensed chicken noodle soup, then bring to a boil.
  4. Meanwhile, cut the buttermilk biscuits into quarters.
  5. Drop the biscuit pieces into the boiling mixture.
  6. Push the biscuit pieces down into the mixture to submerge them.
  7. Do not stir the mixture to prevent clumping.
  8. Cover the pot and reduce heat to simmer.
  9. Cook until the biscuits are tender and dumplings are done, about 20-30 minutes.
