- Brown diced onions and garlic in a skillet.
- Add ground beef and cook until completely browned; drain off excess grease.
- Add garlic salt and black pepper to taste.
- Wash pinto beans in a colander; drain.
- In a large pot, combine beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and chili powder.
- Bring to a low boil.
- Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Add the meat and onion mixture to the beans.
- Simmer for another 10 to 15 minutes.
- Stir well and serve.
