Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 c. cooking oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. walnuts chopped

Instructions

  1. In warm water, stir in dates.
  2. Add oil, eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, sugar, salt and soda.
  3. Blend well.
  4. Stir in nuts. Makes 2 loaves.
  5. Or turn into a greased 10-inch tube pan.
  6. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
  7. Grease loaf pans.
