Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 quart sweetened fruit (peaches, apples, blackberries, strawberries, cherries)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Mix self-rising flour, sugar, and milk together in a bowl.
  3. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the pan.
  4. Heat the chosen fruit and pour it over the batter.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour, or until brown.
