Ingredients

  • 6 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups hot tap water
  • corn meal
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. Mix 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Add hot tap water gradually, beating on low speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Add margarine and 2 cups of flour, beating for 2 minutes on medium speed.
  4. Mix in 2 1/2 to 3 cups of flour on medium speed to make a soft dough.
  5. Mix well from the bottom of the bowl with a spoon.
  6. Cover the dough and let rise for 45 minutes in a warm place, or until doubled in size.
